Can I redirect using a .htaccess file?
No, .htaccess files are for Unix servers and we do not use Unix servers. Instead of an .htaccess file create a text file named "redirect.txt" and place it in the root folder.
The format to redirect the old URL to new url is:
old url|new url
Example
http://www.myurl.com/oldurl.html|http://myurl.com/newurl.html
One redirect per line
List all the URLs in this way to compose the text file, then you can upload the file to the website root folder using FTP.
**Note that the redirect file is only checked in cases of a file not existing. This method cannot be used to redirect pages that do exist.
